Anna Nicole Arteaga by Esteban Barrera

Anna Nicole Arteaga

I’m an Ecuadorian-American freelance adventure photographer, videographer, and translator.

I received my Bachelor's degree in Tourism and Hospitality from Indiana University in 2018. I’m learning to speedfly and form part of the Paisajes Efímeros team, a photo documentary project spreading awareness about tropical glacier retreat and climate change.

Andrés Molestina, the project’s founder and I are Feathered Friends Brand Ambassadors. Our partnership highlights our shared passion for adventure and environmental care, and we love their support!!

Besides my love for exploring new landscapes, backpacking in the rugged and remote Andes, I live for flights over the Ecuadorian andes navigating a small ultralight plane capturing the world's hidden treasures. Whether it's mountains, rivers, towns, ancient ruins, or marks of unnoticed destruction, I'm on a mission to spread awareness in all I do.

And yes, I'm both a native English and Spanish speaker and blessed with dual citizenship (I’m a US Citizen) – a fusion of cultures and experiences that have given me a unique view of the world, and multiple translation jobs helping diversify the outdoors.

My certifications include:

- Leave No Trace Master Educator

- AIARE 1 (American Institute for Avalanche Research and Education)

- Digital Marketing by ThePower Business School

- PADI Open Water Diver

- Casitagua Hike & Fly Speedflying 1 & 2 Course

- Kingue Adventure School Wilderness First Aid Course
